THE LONE SOLDIER

They voluntarily come with 29 different languages indigenous to various cultures. They come alone but are not alone. Their baggage consists of an idealistic void yearning to be filled. Some leave behind grieving, defiant, resentful, indifferent and/or proud parents.

The spiritual essence of the land

cradles them in a metaphorical blanket of security, emphasized by friendship with like-minded young people.

There’s a deep seated yearning pulsing through their youthful spirit, mind and body pulling them like a magnet to the land of Israel.

They are inculcated with the philosophical knowledge of the worth of human life whether their friend or enemy, and this moral imperative accompanies them into battle.

They feel a responsibility to the land of their ancestors. They know that failure is not an option and the only thing they can rely upon is themselves and their trusted friends. Figuratively speaking, their backs are to the wall.

This is the Israeli LONE SOLDIER!
