FUNERAL DAY

I never knew that about him!

Funeral eulogies are similar to an iceberg. The body now lifeless is cold, but the accomplishments ,unknown to me before the eulogy, were there to be discovered floating nine tenths below the surface.

Why didn’t I take time to explore this vibrant life that has now transpired into the ether.

Do I focus excessively on the image I see in the mirror?Should I take the time over a cup of coffee or a drink, just to talk and explore a friend or acquaintances deeper personality and self?

I ask myself this question every time I attend a funeral.
