Beauty is skin deep;
How many times have we heard this age old adage? How often do we forget to ponder its meaning in our relationships?

How would a blind person approach the concept of beauty? Probably not from the surface exterior for obvious reasons. In the persons seeing mind’s eye beauty is, I suspect , intuition, a gut feeling about a person.

What is preferable? Judging based on surface beauty or inner beauty. Perhaps it all begins with that powerful and strange magnetism called attraction and then morphs into inner beauty just as a butterfly escapes its cocoon to actualize it’s magnificence.

Physical beauty evaporates just like old soldiers never die, they just fade away. Hazy , gossamer like memories linger and the comfort of knowing that the person’s physicality was not the foundation of the relationship remains.
