PLENTY

What is the definition of “Plenty”?

“A full or more than adequate amount of supply”-is how the Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the term.

But what does the term “Plenty” really mean in our daily lives?

I think it depends on the “state of consciousness” of each person and the meaning can vary from time to time and situation to situation.

For instance, at the dinner table a person may be or become gluttonous and not know when to stop eating.

Someone shopping for clothing, looking for the latest fashions, or browsing retail sites on the Internet, becomes enamored with the “bright lights” and needs to purchase more, and more.

Others, need to look at their bank statement and stock portfolio multiple times during the day for reassurance of their “real” worth. They constantly ponder how to increase their material holdings.

I think plenty refers to “real wealth” but what is this?

I suggest the following maybe a path to satisfy the need for “Plenty”:
Focusing on daily gratitude for what you have;
Loving kindness demonstrated through deeds for those you come in contact and family;
Healthy children and grandchildren;
Children who are loving to their parents and can support themselves;
Enough money that can support a moderate life style;
Sufficient mental energy in activities that causes the mind to focus on positive things.
Avoid focusing on interfering with other peoples states of consciousness (this is their home) without their permission.

The foregoing, I think are the positive attributes of “Plenty”.

The negative sides of “Plenty” are characterized by greed, vanity and undo attachment to material things.These negative impulses of “Plenty” are a petri pool for stress, aggressive behavior and pollute your state of consciousness.

Ponder your inventory of
PLENTIFULNESS!
